Carlisle United v Bristol Rovers
Carlisle hope to bounce back from their Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final defeat while Bristol Rovers are looking like they might mount a late play-off challenge after all. Well as long as they’re not mounting each other’s wives I really don’t mind what they mount.
Jason Price is likely to be back in Carlisle’s team after being cup-tied for the Final. Byron Anthony won’t play for Bristol Rovers as he’s suspended for the next two matches after picking up his 10th yellow card. I would love it if Ben Swallow replaced him but as Byron is a defender and Ben is a midfielder it doesn’t seem very likely.
Exeter City v Colchester United
Exeter could be back in the relegation zone if they lose this match but the way Colchester United have been playing lately, there’s a good chance Exeter won’t have to worry too much.
I personally would put Andy Marriott back in goal for Exeter as his return to the starting line-up coincided with Exeter’s last good run but I’m not the manager or a mind-reader so the Exeter manager could pick anyone. Richard Duffy and Rob Edwards are likely to start though with Stuart Fleetwood on the bench as long as Exeter’s reserves weren’t in action last night.
Lee Beevers is probably still out for Colchester but Thomas Bender could be on the bench.
