Barnsley v Peterborough United
Barnsley have all sorts of injury problems so maybe Peterborough can put off relegation for another week.
Peterborough will however almost certainly be without Craig Morgan, who still has an ankle injury.
Blackpool v Doncaster Rovers
If Blackpool win, they’ll be in the play-offs. If Doncaster win, they won’t be in the play-offs but they might only be three points away. So it’s not a small match,
David Vaughan could be fit enough to start for Blackpool after recovering from an ankle injury and perhaps Rob Edwards will get another chance to start. Neal Eardley’s and Daniel Nardiello’s hamstrings will probably prevent them from playing again this season.
Brian Stock doesn’t look ready to return from his back injury and there might be a doubt over Gareth Roberts, who was substituted late on, but maybe that was just tactical. Gareth was named the Sun’s Star Man – and just because it’s in the Sun, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s not true. John Oster is fine as far as I know.
Derby County v Ipswich Town
Both these sides are probably safe but I’m sure they’ll still fancy a win.
Derby are weaker without Robbie Savage but he did play only two days ago, another game so soon might be a bit much. Or it might not be, nothing surprises me where Robbie is concerned. (If Robbie does play, tell him that the Ipswich goalkeeper is his bin man. Look at Google News if you don’t know what I mean.)
Leicester City v Queen’s Park Rangers
Leicester need to win in order to guarantee that they’re still in the play-off places tomorrow night. QPR aren’t safe from relegation yet so three points would go a long way.
Andy King will probably keep his place in midfield and although Leicester manager Nigel Pearson perhaps doesn’t know this, Nicky Adams is capable of playing a full game too.
Newcastle United v Sheffield United
If Newcastle draw this match, they will be guaranteed to return to the Premier League. But if Sheffield United still entertain play-off hopes, they’ll really need to go for the win.
Ched Evans is probably still out for Sheffield United with a collarbone injury.
