Championship Fixtures 5th April Part 2

Nottingham Forest v Cardiff City
Nottingham Forest still have (very) faint hopes of automatic promotion. Cardiff City will move ahead of Forest on goal difference if they win and if they score enough goals.
Chris Gunter and Robert Earnshaw used to play for Cardiff and Chris at least was a big fan. But they won’t be letting sentiment get in the way – although Rob could miss out again due to a back injury.
Darcy Blake is expected to keep his place in the starting line-up for Cardiff. It would be a surprise if Joe Ledley was ready to start, especially so soon after his comeback, but he could make another appearance from the bench if we’re lucky. If Cardiff feel the need for rotation, under-21 internationals Adam Matthews and Aaron Morris are options, as is Aaron Wildig who is currently not eligible for Wales but I’m hoping he will be one day.

Plymouth Argyle v Middlesbrough
Plymouth hope to continue their miraculous comeback at home to Middlesbrough, whose season hasn’t lived up to expectations at all, unless you’re the particularly pessimistic type.
Carl Fletcher will have a fitness test on a knee injury after missing Plymouth’s last two matches.
Danny Coyne will probably be on the bench for Middlesbrough but Rhys Williams is struggling with his pelvis again. (I hope it’s better soon, Rhys, I feel really rude writing about your pelvis all the time.)
Rhys hopes to be in Australia’s World Cup squad and I would love to see him there. I would rather have seen him in Wales’ World Cup squad but Rhys felt he was Australian so he understandably wanted to play for Australia. But as he’s an ex-Wales under-21 international, I’m going to carry on supporting him.

Reading v Coventry City

Games in hand mean that the play-offs aren’t completely out of Reading’s grasp. Coventry have the same number of points but they’ve played two more games.
There are rumours that the Reading manager could rotate his squad, which is likely to result in a start for Simon Church.
Freddy Eastwood missed Coventry’s last match with a back problem and is not expected to be fit to face Reading.
