Doncaster Rovers 0-1 Leicester City
Brian Stock was unable to play due to a back injury – a great disappointment for Doncaster and Brian and potentially also for Wales as Brian’s good performances recently must have made him a candidate for Wales v Sweden.
Gareth Roberts was able to start after being a substitute at the weekend and took the captain’s armband in the absence of Brian. He nearly scored too. John Oster also came close to an equaliser and the assistant manager praised his influential play.
Andy King however could have made it two for Leicester. Nicky Adams was back on the bench for Leicester after missing out on a place in the squad last week. He came on after an hour and also gave Doncaster something to worry about.
