Championship Fixtures 16th March Part 2

Derby County v Middlesbrough
After a good run, Derby are starting to struggle again and are just four points outside the relegation zone. On the positive side, they’ve beaten stronger teams than Middlesbrough at home. Middlesbrough really need to win to stay in the play-off hunt.
Robbie Savage will start for Derby, probably in midfield rather than in goal, while Danny Coyne and Rhys Williams should keep their place in the starting line-up for Middlesbrough.

Peterborough United v Doncaster Rovers
Peterborough are planning their great escape, while Doncaster have their eye on the play-offs – they’re just four points away as things stand. Peterborough and Doncaster? Hard to believe this is a Championship fixture.
Craig Morgan should be in defence for Peterborough after getting into the Football League Team of the Week and being described as a ‘beast of a defender’ in Peterborough Today. Brian Stock’s back injury is said to be improving but he’s not likely to play today. Gareth Roberts and John Oster, however, almost certainly will.

Plymouth Argyle v Bristol City

Plymouth remain in 23rd, which is where Bristol City could end up if they don’t sort it out.
Carl Fletcher will be fighting Plymouth’s cause in either defence or midfield. Lewin Nyatanga will probably start for Bristol City. James Wilson and Christian Ribeiro are likely to be on the bench if they recover from knee and groin injuries (assuming Christian hasn’t been sent back to Colchester United). James has been linked with a return to Brentford – this would be his third loan spell with the club.

Reading v Queen’s Park Rangers

QPR are turning it around under their new manager but Reading started to turn it around quite some time ago.
Simon Church has been a substitute in the last two games and as Reading won both those games, he could be on the bench again.
