Tottenham Hotspur v Portsmouth
This dress rehearsal for the FA Cup semi-final (I didn’t copy that line from BBC Sport, I thought of it myself and I’m so pissed off BBC Sport have already used it) will be a bit of a Portsmouth Old Boys Reunion. Jermain Defoe, Peter Crouch, Niko Kranjcar, Younes Kaboul and manager Harry Redknapp were all at Portsmouth not so long ago – while Kevin-Prince Boateng and Ricardo Rocha were at Tottenham. Then there’s also Jamie O’Hara who’s on loan to Portsmouth from Tottenham but he’s not allowed to play.
Gareth Bale could be back at left back again for Tottenham after playing the second half there in the FA Cup match against Fulham. Gareth has been nominated for the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month Award. http://fansaward.givemefootball.com/vote Although it looks to me as though you can vote for any player, including some that haven’t been playing for their teams.
West Ham United v Stoke City
West Ham are back in trouble again but Stoke aren’t the best at winning away.
Danny Gabbidon is back from a muscle injury and could go back into the starting line-up. Jack Collison is still out with a knee injury.
Ryan Shawcross missed Stoke’s last game with an ankle problem and he could be out again. If so, Danny Collins is almost certain to play.
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Everton
Having beaten West Ham midweek, Wolves face another tough test – Everton. Only Everton, rather than fighting for survival, are fighting for a place in the Europa League.
Dave Edwards has recovered from an ankle injury but it yet to make it into Wolves’ matchday squad, Sam Vokes has also been missing recently. Wayne Hennessey will be on the bench.
David Jones however is almost certain to start after a string of impressive performances.
