Nottingham Forest 1-0 Peterborough UnitedNottingham Forest won their 11th successive home game – which meant a clean sheet for
Chris Gunter and another goal for
Robert Earnshaw. Rob dedicated his goal to his new baby boy, Silva, who was born last Monday. Nice name. Unusual but sensible. Congratulations, Rob!
Peterborough actually played pretty well - even without
Craig Morgan, who has a knee injury - and while I can’t agree with their manager that they looked the better side in the second half, an equaliser wouldn’t have been especially surprising or especially undeserved.
Queen’s Park Rangers 1-1 Swansea CityEveryone seems to think another draw for Swansea is a big disaster but I don’t think there’s any need to worry just yet. They’re eight points clear of seventh place and QPR have been in great form since Neil Warnock became their new manger.
Ashley Williams,
Jazz Richards and
David Cotterill all started for Swansea with
David Cornell on the bench. Ashley could have got an assist but the shot was saved.
Scunthorpe United 2-1 Plymouth ArgyleA win for Scunthorpe lifts them out of the bottom three but leaves Plymouth six points adrift. They can get out of it, if they win their next game, things could look very different.
Carl Fletcher played the full match for Plymouth.
Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Derby CountyThe draw was enough to lift Sheffield Wednesday out of the bottom three but they remain very much ‘in it’, especially if Crystal Palace win their game in hand.
Robbie Savage was given a rest due to tiredness but he did get to come off the bench after 78 minutes.
