Colchester United 3-3 Brentford
Brentford were 2-0 up after 17 minutes but Colchester kept on equalising. Colchester are now just four points from seventh place while Brentford move a bit further from the relegation zone.
Colchester’s Lee Beevers is still out with a knee injury although he was credited with a Mark Beevers effort for Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend. Lewis Price was on the bench for Brentford.

Southampton 3-2 Hartlepool United
Another win for Southampton leaves Hartlepool United just two points outside the relegation zone.
Lloyd James was on the bench for Southampton.

Southend United 3-0 Walsall
Southend won for the first time in ten games – and if they can do it again in their next game, they could get out of the relegation zone.
Rhys Weston returned from his calf injury but was only fit enough for Walsall’s bench, which he shared with Mark Bradley.
