Blackburn Rovers 1-1 Chelsea
Blackburn played very well and could be disappointed to have got only one point against the title-chasers.
Jason Brown stayed in goal for Blackburn in the absence of Paul Robinson and pulled off some extremely good saves from the likes of Didier Drogba. Rhys Taylor was the latest victim of Chelsea’s goalkeeper curse, with the reserve reserve keeper taking his place on the bench.
Fulham 1-2 Manchester City
Manchester City have a good chance of a Champions’ League places after beating the team who knocked Juventus out of the Europa League.
Simon Davies played the full match for Fulham but he and his team-mates seemed to have a bit of a hangover. Craig Bellamy was on great form for Manchester City, causing Fulham lots of problems and getting the assists for both goals. Craig has more assists than goals this season – but he has been spending most of his time on the left wing.
Manchester United 2-1 Liverpool
Manchester United’s title challenge continues strongly with victory over Liverpool, who really should have scored more than once.
Ryan Giggs made his first appearance for Manchester United since recovering from a broken arm, coming off the bench after 79 minutes.
