League One Fixtures 13th March Part 1

Brentford v Milton Keynes Dons
Brentford are just seven points from the relegation zone whilst are five from the play-offs. Lewis Price will be on the bench for Brentford at best – apparently he has a no-recall clause and wasn’t an option when Derby went on a mad hunt for a goalkeeper this week.
Jermaine Easter will be hoping to get back on the scoresheet. He’s had a couple of recent assists but no goals for over a month.

Brighton & Hove Albion v Swindon Town
Two surprise defeats for Swindon has seen them fall to 6th but that’s only likely to make them even more determined to beat Brighton. Brighton are six points clear of the relegation zone – they’ve done well but they’re not safe yet.
Andrew Crofts will play in midfield for Brighton. Apparently he asks questions with his energy and strong running which is pretty impressive really, I can only ask questions with my mouth.

Bristol Rovers v Tranmere Rovers

Bristol Rovers are playing so anything could happen. Perhaps even the play-offs could happen although they are nine points away. But if I was going to expect something from Bristol Rovers, I think I’d be expecting them to lose this match. They’re like that. Tranmere, meanwhile, have hauled themselves out of the bottom four but there’s still work to be done.
Byron Anthony will be in defence for Bristol Rovers and says his team need to start beating the lesser teams if they want to be in the play-offs. Ben Swallow most likely on the bench. Ash Taylor could start for Tranmere after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Carlisle United v Colchester United
Carlisle look set to finish in a respectable mid-table position but maybe a few more wins could change all that. Colchester are still in the play-off places but they have been struggling lately.
Jason Price could start for Carlisle – they signed him from Millwall after Oldham Athletic decided not to extend his loan. Jason might not be playing but if he can score a hat-trick tonight he’ll be doing Millwall at least as big a favour as he’d be doing Carlisle.
Colchester are still without Lee Beevers, who has a knee injury. Christian Ribeiro seems to have recovered from his groin injury but he hasn’t re-signed for Colchester. It looks as though parent club Bristol City might need him more.

Huddersfield Town v Norwich City
Owain Tudur Jones hasn’t played for title-contenders Norwich since returning from his loan to Yeovil Town and Norwich don’t exactly have tons of injured midfielders. So maybe he should go back to Yeovil. That’s where most of the League One Welsh midfielders seem to be at the moment.
