Championship Results 27th March Part 2

Peterborough United 0-1 Bristol City
Peterborough’s survival hopes grew even fainter as Bristol City got a much-needed three points.
Peterborough were still without the injured Craig Morgan (ankle). And after this season, they’ll be without their manager who has publically said he has no interest in hanging around.
Christian Ribeiro again started for Bristol City and showed he’s pretty good in attack as well as defence.

Plymouth Argyle 0-2 Blackpool
Plymouth are another who don’t look like escaping. They’re only six points from safety though so it’s not completely impossible. Blackpool look like the team most likely to sneak into the play-0ffs. They’re only three points away and they have a better goal difference than Leicester City and Swansea City.
Carl Fletcher worryingly left the field in the 7th minute. Blackpool were without their Welsh players too, with Rob Edwards on the bench and the rest injured.

Reading 1-1 West Bromwich Albion

A few months ago, Reading would have been thrilled with this result. Now they’re like a completely new team and West Brom’s 86th minute equaliser must have been a big disappointment.
Simon Church came off the bench aftrt 65 minutes and nearly got Reading a second.

Swansea City 0-0 Ipswich Town
It took Swansea a long time to lose their unbeaten run in 2010. But now they have gone five games without a win.
Ashley Williams could have won it for Swansea late on but he didn’t. However there was some god news for Swansea. Joe Allen made his comeback from a knee injury after 66 minutes. David Cornell and David Cotterill were also on the bench.

Watford 1-1 Middlesbrough

This result didn’t do either side much good. Watford remain in relegation trouble while Middlesbrough no longer look like possible play-off contenders.
Danny Coyne was on the bench again for Boro but Rhys Williams played the full game and played a part in Boro’s goal.
