Brighton & Hove Albion 3-0 Brentford
Two stoppage-time goals gave Brighton a more emphatic victory over Brentford than was likely expected. Brighton are now a point ahead of Brentford and nine points from the relegation zone.
Andrew Crofts seemed to be everywhere playing for Brighton. Lewis Price was on the bench for Brentford.
Carlisle United 1-0 Yeovil Town
Carlisle narrowly beat Yeovil and moved three points ahead of them.
Jason Price played the full game for Carlisle and was again very impressive. Shaun MacDonald was the only Welshman to start for Yeovil and was praised by his manager for another great performance. Arron Davies came off the bench after 68 minutes while Gavin Williams served the first match of his three-match suspension.
Southampton 0-1 Swindon Town
Swindon moved up to 4th place after inflicting on Southampton their third defeat in as many matches. Lloyd James made his return from an ankle injury, coming off the bench on 71 minutes. And Billy Bodin made a surprise (to me) appearance on the bench for Swindon. It was the first time he’d been in the senior squad.
Stockport County 0-1 Oldham Athletic
Stockport lost again as Oldham managed to put five points between themselves and the drop zone.
Owain fon Williams played in goal for Oldham’s Joe Jacobson was dropped to the bench and Daniel Nardiello missed out with a hamstring injury.
