Manchester United v Fulham
A win for Manchester United would put them ahead of both Arsenal and Chelsea, although Chelsea have a game in hand. Fulham meanwhile aren’t completely out of the race for a second successive spell in the Europa League.
There were rumours that Ryan Giggs has nearly recovered from his broken arm and could have played in this match but recent reports say he’s still out. Simon Davies should play for Fulham – he’s a key player for them and it looks like he really has recovered from his ankle injury this time.
Sunderland v Manchester City
Sunderland ended their long spell without a win midweek but they’re still just six points above the relegation places. Manchester City will remain fifth if they win (unless they win by eight goals) but they’ll be level on points with Tottenham with a game in hand.
Craig Bellamy should play for Manchester City, depending on how his knee is feeling. But with Robinho on loan, Emmanuel Adebayor suspended and Roque Santa Cruz often injured (although he could be back for this match), City really need Craig to stay fit.
