League One Fixtures 13th March Part 3

Southend United v Exeter City
Both clubs will remain in the relegation zone after this match is played but that’s all the more reason why both need to win it. BBC Sport says Andy Marriott will return to the bench for Exeter but as he’s been on the bench for their last two games following his neck injury I don’t think he can return. Except literally, of course. Unless he’s been living on the bench, he will technically be returning to it for this match. Except he won’t because he’ll be on the bench in Southend’s ground, not Exeter’s but I don’t think I’ll bother going into that. It’s just a shame he looks unlikely to start unless BBC Sport have got that wrong too.
Moving on, Richard Duffy, Rob Edwards and Stuart Fleetwood seem to be injury-free although I’m not sure about Rob because he wasn’t there last weekend.

Stockport County v Gillingham
If Stockport win today and Wycombe lose, and then if Stockpot win their game in hand too, they’ll be in 23rd. I think it would be brilliant if they could finish 23rd, I really do. I’m being serious. For a club who are in so much trouble and look certain to go down whatever, to have the passion and determination to get up to 23rd, I think that would be an achievement.
Owain fon Williams will be in goal for Stockport so I hope Gillingham are really nice and don’t make him score any own goals. If they do have to score, it’s best they do it themselves.

Yeovil Town v Hartlepool United
No, I am not Terry Skiverton. It’s a complete and utter coincidence that Yeovil have suddenly started signing Welsh midfielders on loan from all over the place. Owain Tudur Jones may have departed but Arron Davies and Shaun MacDonald have now been joined by Gavin Williams, who makes his second debut for Yeovil.
The first time Gavin left Yeovil, he was replaced by Arron Davies, who made his own second debut last month. Arron has been told by Terry Skiverton to enjoy his football and not worry about anything else which must be nice to hear after some disappointing times with Nottingham Forest and Brighton. Terry Skiverton was formerly Arron’s team-mate, as well as being the guy who sold him a house in Yeovil. So they're practically all related.
I think you can get BBC Wales in Yeovil, maybe that’s why they all go there.
