Bradford City v Aldershot Town
Peter Taylor seems very happy with the Bradford players following their midweek defeat to Port Vale. So Michael Flynn should keep his place as they face play-off hopefuls Aldershot.
Burton Albion v Cheltenham Town
Burton continue their first season of League football with a visit to struggling Cheltenham, who are spending so much time looking over their shoulders at Grimsby, they tend not to notice the team they’re actually playing at that very moment.
Tony James will be in defence for Bolton while Josh Low will be in midfield for Cheltenham.
Chesterfield v Port Vale
Port Vale manager Micky Adams would like to believe this is a clash of play-off hopefuls and I’m happy to go along with that. He’s providing three of my lovely Welsh boys with first-team football so I like him.
His players will have to face Robert Page in defence which is a bad thing for Port Vale as even Match of the Day magazine have noticed how good he is but at least Mark Crossley will be on the bench.
Early goals are apparently the key for Port Vale and with Lewis Haldane and Craig Davies both with a good chance of starting in attack for Vale, there’s no reason why they shouldn’t get one. Vale will also have Gareth Owen in defence.
Dagenham & Redbridge v Rotherham United
Things are improving for Dagenham, not to mention Redbridge. Goalkeeper Tony Roberts and the defence are finally keeping clean sheets. And if they can just sort out the goal problem at the other end, I don’t see why they shouldn’t start winning again.
