Dagenham & Redbridge 0-1 Rotherham United
Dag & Red lost again as they took on Rotherham United, But they didn’t deserve to lose. They had plenty of chances and Tony Roberts did only let in one goal.
Macclesfield Town 2-0 Bury
Another win puts Macclesfield eleven points from the relegation places as they continue their fine run of form. Bury did go down to ten men just before half-time but Macclesfield thoroughly deserved the three points. Interim manager wants to keep Macclesfield in the League for their late manager Keith Andrews. The way they’re playing, I would be very, very shocked if they went down.
Matthew Tipton, Macclesfield’s penalty hero in the last match, stayed on the bench.
Morecambe 1-1 Grimsby Town
Morecambe went ahead just before half-time, only for League Two’s draw specialists Grimsby to get a goal not that long after. Darren Moss was back on the bench for Morecambe.
Northampton Town 2-0 Darlington
They’ve done it. Northampton are officially in the play-offs, ahead of Shrewsbury Town on goal difference and none of the teams with games in hand can catch them.
Darlington probably can’t be ‘caught’ either. But for quite different reasons.
Peter Gilbert played the full match for Northampton.
Shrewsbury Town 0-1 Rochdale
Shrewsbury lost their position in the play-offs but with them playing the league leaders and rivals Northampton playing the league proper-uppers, it can’t have been a huge shock. And Rochdale deserved their win really. Will Richards wasn’t in Shrewsbury’s squad.
