Southend United 1-2 Charlton Athletic
Charlton got a stoppage-time winner to beat Southend. The win puts Charlton back in third but the chasing pack have two or three games in hand over them. Charlton were of course missing the injured Grant Basey, who will be out for the rest of the season.
Sanchez Watt was able to overcome an injury and start for loan side Southend. He was very unlucky not to score, Charlton’s keeper made a brilliant save. Sanchez has now completed his month-long loan but the Southend manager Steve Tilson hasn’t yet decided whether he wants to keep him.
