League Two Results 27th February Part 2

Dagenham & Redbridge 2-0 Grimsby Town
Tony Roberts helped Dag & Red to another clean sheet and a place just two points behind the play-offs.

Macclesfield Town 0-1 Rochdale
Matthew Tipton came off the bench for Macclesfield just after the hour mark. He didn’t score but they were playing Rochdale.

Morecambe 1-0 Port Vale

Darren Moss found himself back in the starting line-up and it seemed to work. Gareth Owen cleared off the line but as Vale didn’t score, he might as well have left it. Craig Davies and Lewis Haldane tried to score but didn’t. Vale did get the ball in the net but only from an offside position.

Northampton Town 2-1 Cheltenham Town
Peter Gilbert’s Northampton claimed the three points with Josh Low’s Cheltenham remaining seven points clear of the relegation zone.

Notts County 5-0 Hereford United
Darren Jones, Ryan Green and Ryan Valentine were all dropped to the bench for Hereford’s match against Notts County. And look what happened. I’m sure the manager won’t be trying that again. Darren did go on after 91 minutes though.

Shrewsbury Town 1-0 Bournemouth

Will Richards was left out of Shrewsbury’s squad but he is a very young player. Rhoys Wiggins was on the losing side but Bournemouth are still in second place. For now anyway.
