Oldham Athletic 0-1 Norwich City
Norwich went five points clear at the top of the table with a win over Oldham, who remain in the relegation zone. And Oldham are quite lucky Norwich have only put a small dent in their goal difference. Not that it didn’t have enough dents in already.
Joe Jacobson and Jason Price found themselves on the losing side but Jason will have more opportunities to help Oldham as his loan spell is likely to be extended next week.
Southampton 5-1 Walsall
Walsall actually took the lead in this game but they might not remember that very well. Lloyd James did not play for Southampton due to an ankle injury and he’s likely to be out for at least another two weeks. Rhys Weston, recovered from injury, came off the bench for Walsall but Mark Bradley stayed there.
Stockport County 4-3 Wycombe Wanderers
If Stockport win their two games in hand over Wycombe, they’ll move above them. Let’s just hope Owain fon Williams can bounce back from another own goal. But Stockport still won so one little tiny own goal really doesn’t matter and Owain also made some really good saves to keep his team ahead.
Yeovil Town 1-0 Milton Keynes Dons
Shaun MacDonald scored the solitary goal to beat play-off challengers MK Dons. Arron Davies also started and could have got Yeovil a second if he hadn’t been playing against an ex-Millwall keeper but Owain Tudur Jones was unable to overcome a groin injury. This was the final match of Owain’s month-long loan. Yeovil want to extend it but Owain has just beyond a father (Congratulations, Owain) so he might want to be with his family.
Jermaine Easter played the MK Dons but couldn’t find an equaliser although he did force the Yeovil keeper into a very good save.
