Blackpool v Queen’s Park Rangers
Rob Edwards returns from suspension for Blackpool but won’t necessarily start because he usually doesn’t and Blackpool have a very good team. So he could be sharing the bench with Daniel Nardiello, who did very well on loan but hasn’t had much of a chance since then. Defender Neal Eardley even feels the play-offs are a possibility and I can’t argue with that. Blackpool have looked very strong this season and I can think of at least four brilliant players who are in their team. David Vaughan should also start.
Bristol City v Preston North End
Gavin Williams’ last-minute equaliser for Bristol City in the FA Cup could have won him a start. Not least as he scored against the team he supports. Lewin Nyatanga returns from suspension but his replacement unfortunately did rather well. Christian Ribeiro and James Wilson could be named on City’s bench. Paul Parry’s knee problem has not improved and Preston are likely to be without him for up to six weeks.
Doncaster Rovers v Watford
Brian Stock is set to make his first appearance for Doncaster since September after injury and a series of postponements. He could be playing alongside Gareth Roberts and John Oster, who still hasn’t signed a long-term contract.
Ipswich Town v Coventry City
Freddy Eastwood was a substitute in Coventry’s FA Cup defeat to Portsmouth. Hopefully this time he should be on from the start.
