Blackpool 1-2 Sheffield Wednesday
Neal Eardley, David Vaughan and Daniel Nardiello all started for Blackpool with Rob Edwards on the bench (he stayed there though) so this match could have been a Wales fan’s dream, or at least this Wales fan’s dream. Unfortunately this Wales fan’s dream involves all the Wales players being on the winning side and that’s not quite how it worked out.
Actually, I need to make a correction. According to Blackpool manager Ian Holloway, David Vaughan did not appear in this match, it was David's evil twin. "I think David Vaughan needed to be told because that wasn't him tonight," were Ollie's exact words. Daniel came closest to getting Blackpool a point but Neal seemed to struggle a little bit in defence. But everyone's allowed the off-day, I have 365 of them every year.
Still, it was a great result for Sheffield Wednesday – despite their Welshmanless state I can’t say I want them to get relegated.
