League One Fixtures 22nd January Part 1

Bristol Rovers v Hartlepool United
Byron Anthony
finally got to start Bristol Rovers’ last match which I think I forgot to post about but anyway he did a good job, without his tackle the score might easily not have been 0-0. Ben Swallow was on back the bench for his last game after the player he replaced returned from suspension. Unfortunately that sort of thing happens quite often. But maybe someone else will get suspended, you never know.

Carlisle United v Stockport County
Stockport have lost their last 12 games – not even goalkeeper Owain fon Williams has been able to help them although he is a good goalkeeper who is attracting the attention of better clubs than Stockport. Leeds United and Ipswich Town, to be exact.

Gillingham v Colchester United
Lee Beevers
is back in traiing for Colchester but he’s probably not ready to be in the squad.

Milton Keynes Dons v Tranmere Rovers
Jermaine Easter, one of the League One’s top scorers, has attracted the attention of Charlton Athletic
Tranmere have bought a new centre back but there will probably still be a place for the excellent Ash Taylor in midfield. Well, I’d play him.
