Premier League Results 27th January

Aston Villa 0-0 Arsenal
Yes, I can just about bring myself to write the result of this one.
James Collins played brilliantly in Villa’s scarily solid defence. They really did play very very well – it was just a shame it was such a dull game because top-class defending can be great to watch. James was also one of a number of Villa players who could have scored.
I’m still slightly disappointed with the result though. It was good to see Aaron Ramsey back in the starting line-up and he was always looking to create something. He did make one excellent tackle but unfortunately it was on Tomas Rosicky. He’s still amazing for a nineteen year old though, even one of Arsenal’s nineteen year olds.

Blackburn 2-1 Wigan Athletic
Nothing exciting to report on the Jason front. Jason Brown stayed on the bench for Blackburn and Jason Koumas wasn’t in Wigan’s squad. My dad thinks Blackburn keeper Paul Robinson isn’t good enough and I was only too happy to suggest Blackburn replace him with Jason Brown. But Dad… Blackburn did actually win. Wigan looked disorganised and they seriously need another good creative midfielder. Someone like, I don’t know, Jason Koumas.
