League Two Results 23rd January Part 2

Northampton Town 0-0 Chesterfield
Peter Gilbert came closest to giving Northampton the lead but at least he kept a clean sheet which is really more his job as he’s a defender. And Northampton are now unbeaten in seven matches. It’s not much in comparison with Birmingham City and Nottingham Forest but I think it’s still pretty good.
Robert Page played the full game for Chesterfield and Mark Crossley was on the bench.

Port Vale 0-0 Macclesfield Town
Man of the Match Craig Davies had a great first full game for Port Vale and was very unlucky not to score. Lewis Haldane possibly should have won them a penalty and Gareth Owen helped keep the clean sheet.

Shrewsbury Town 2-1 Dagenham & Redbridge
Will Richards was left out of Shrewsbury’s team so perhaps he was injured. Tony Roberts did his best to get Dagenham a point at least. He not only tried to keep goals out, he helped out in attack too.
